We’re 4 weeks away from our fall event for KHERUT on Sunday, October 20th, and we are thrilled to announce our keynote speaker for the event:
The founder of The Teen Project and author of Punished for Purpose, her compelling life story.
Not only are we honored to hear Lauri’s story first hand, but her nonprofit will be a key partner with KHERUT, since the women transitioning out of The Teen Project will have the opportunity of a safe and welcoming place to work at KHERUT to build their independent future.
To meet Lauri and be a part of helping these women find their place in the world, RSVP to our event on Sunday, October 20th:
More About Lauri Burns
Raised in an abusive home, and eventually put into foster care, Lauri’s path led to prostitution and heroin. She could only reconcile her tragic existence as punishment for sins committed in a past life. Close to the ultimate self destruction, she was guided by thirteen people, virtual angels, each of whom crosses her path at exactly the right moment to lead her back to the light. Far beyond coincidence, she could only view these angels as a sign that her life was meant to be. She was returned from the darkness for a purpose: To rescue those left behind, to save as many of America's throwaway children as her time on earth will allow.
