National Denim Day
National Denim Day originated following a landmark ruling where a sexual assault conviction was overturned due to the victim wearing tight jeans, prompting women in parliament to wear denim in solidarity. Today, wearing denim has become a global symbol of protest against victim blaming ad a display of support for survivors of sexual assault.
At Kherut, standing with survivors is at the absolute heart of everything we do. On National Denim Day, our team proudly wore denim to demonstrate our unwavering solidarity, advocate for justice, and promote healing. We remain committed to creating a safe, empowering space where every survivor’s voice is heard, valued, and supported on their journey towards restorative freedom.
